The fun of contests, sweepstakes and puzzles is all around us

It’s Groundhog Day all over again as the Jeep brand runs a Superbowl ad spot starring Bill Murray in his first-ever national television commercial.

There are contests and puzzles all around us. For example, one gamble is the hope for an early spring from a groundhog emerging from its burrow.

And when we use our birthday number for playing the lottery or spin a wheel of fortune, we are trying to make sense of the randomness of numbers.
