Wisconsin $316.3 million Powerball winners claim their half jackpot share

A married couple from Oneida in Brown County are Wisconsin's $316.3 million Powerball jackpot winners.
Tammy and Cliff Webster came forward to claim the winning $316.3 million jackpot-winning Powerball ticket for the January 5, 2022 draw.
The winning ticket was sold by Jackson Pointe Citgo in Green Bay, the Wisconsin Lottery announced.
The winning ticket was sold by Citgo on Packerland Drive suburb of Ashwaubenon, which received $100,000 for selling the $2 ticket.
According to friends of the couple, Tammy worked at the Walmart on the west side of Green Bay. They say she was always smiling. Her husband Cliff was described as ‘kind and a gentleman.’
The Websters, who are members of the Oneida Nation, are taking the cash option of $225 million instead of annual payments, according to the lottery. After state and local taxes, they will take home nearly $154 million.
"We always believed that we had a chance to win if we played and this is a dream come true," Tammy Webster told the lottery. "We are sincerely grateful for this incredible event."
Cliff Webster also expressed his deep appreciation for what he called ‘a wonderful blessing.’
The winning numbers in the Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022 drawing were white balls 6, 14, 25, 33, and 46. The Powerball number was 17.
The California Powerball winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven store in Sacramento, said a spokesperson from the California Lottery.
