Staten Islander Nandlall Mangal has claimed the $245.6 million sole jackpot winning ticket from the August 11, 2018 Powerball drawing.

Now the US Powerball has drawn its $750 Million jackpot - the third largest in US history - take a look at the check presentation from this last big Powerball draw.

The most recent Powerball winner, who came forward in late September, is a Staten Island resident.

Nandlall Mangal, 42, claimed his prize on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the Resorts World Casino in Jamaica, Queens. It was worth $245.6 million.

Mangal, who only plays lotto when the jackpots climb over $100 million reported SILivepurchased the winning lottery ticket from the Stop & Shop in New Dorp.

"I was grocery shopping and knew the Powerball jackpot was big. I decided that was a good time to buy my tickets," said Mangal.
