British woman says she won $70 million in the lottery. Then the truth came out

A TikToker going by the username Elbell820 made a viral splash with a video that apparently announced her win of a $70 million lottery.

Elbell820 joined Timothy Schultz to discuss the fascinating story behind this media frenzy.

The winner clarified that her viral video was a spontaneous and unplanned event: "I needed to get this out there, I need the universe to hear my plan, my intentions."

Elbell820 said she hadn't premeditated the claim of a lottery win in her video. It just came to her spontaneously, and she decided to go with it.

"I wasn't pre-thinking out what I was going to say. I literally pressed the camera, walked to the screen, sat down, and started mumbling."

When asked about the video's content, she reiterated that the 'win' was an intentional manifestation, not an actual event.

However, media outlets, including some newspapers, misconstrued the video, reporting it as if the lottery win had indeed taken place.

"That's wild to me. None of the newspapers reached out to check the facts," she explained.

She believed she made her intent clear, using hashtags such as 'ask, believe, receive,' and was surprised by how the story was skewed.

Despite the media getting her story wrong, she felt positive about the whole situation.

"It's great for me that the word got out there. People are seeing it, saying my name, and thinking 'wow, she's won.' So it's just manifesting," she commented.

Elbell820's TikTok video amassed over a million views and many comments, some congratulating her, others offering advice, while some were skeptical or outright negative.

"It's crazy how much social media actually gets to you. Hearing bad things on repeat is actually quite bad," she mused.

One surprising aspect of the whole episode was the number of people reaching out to her, asking for money.

"Why would hundreds of people be messaging me for money if I wasn't a millionaire? I'm in the moment of feeling it," she said.

Elbell820 admits she feels a bit bad about giving people false hopes, especially as her video ended with an offer to 'buy' her followers something.

"I just assumed that my existing followers knew my humor. I do feel bad for saying that, because if someone got their hopes up, that would be not nice."

Regarding her video going viral, she said, "I went to bed, and it was on like 300 likes within a short space of time. I woke up, and it was on twenty to thirty thousand. It was mind-blowing. But at the same time, nothing had changed."

Elbell820's story serves as a reminder that social media and online content can take on a life of their own, creating narratives and sparking conversations in unexpected ways.

And while the journey has been an unusual one, she remains positive, maintaining her belief in manifestation and looking forward to what the universe brings next.
