The Pennsylvania Lottery Has Used Gus The Groundhog Character In Their Ads For Years

Many lotteries have mascots, and the Pennsylvania Lottery had Gus the Groundhog until he was retired in 2012. However, players apparently missed him, so actor Gena Burghoff and Gus the Groundhog were brought back for the Pennsylvania Lottery promotions and featured in tv commercials like this one in 2017.
