Winning a major prize is an earthshaking event for most people. When winner Ian Hirsch of Coquitlam, B.C. looked at his ticket, he didn’t just double-check it, he had partner Diane triple check it to make sure it was real.

Like most gobsmacked winners soon after a win, he had little to say at the check presentation ceremony in the BCLC headquarters, but Diane said: "I can't wait to see their (the bank's) faces."
