Lottery winning driver pulled for speeding gets sympathetic warning and freed
Scott Lowe, a 22-year-old from Rockland, Massachusetts, was pulled over for speeding at 49 mph in a 35 mph zone.
His excuse for the haste? He was on his way to claim a $50,000 lottery win from a $2 scratch-off ticket.
The officer, upon seeing Lowe's nervousness and the winning ticket, let him off with a formal warning.
Lowe had purchased the lucky ticket in Hanover and was heading to the Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Braintree to collect his prize.
