New daily 'Lotto Looks' feature wins 55% of readership going from zero after only one month
After just 30 days, our new Lotto Looks feature is grabbing eyeballs at a fast and furious rate!
In that month the daily pictorial feature went from zero to 55% of the total views of the highest traffic source–our main home page.
Even the reintroduced and popular Free Daily Draw hasn’t beaten that figure, and it’s been running for about the same period.
So what is it that makes Lotto Looks so appealing? One reader likes the visual way that information is presented, and as the artist for this feature, that’s been my main goal.
I wanted to cut out all the fussy details and hone in on what matters, and a single information focus is the best way to do this.
Lotto Looks is designed for the sidebar, so it concentrates on just one important or interesting fact. And that singularity makes the info easy to absorb and remember.
Each Look will have links to the stories on our Silver Lotto site that inspired them.
I started the series with bar graphs and some single-fact graphics, but now have started to build in more people-related facts.
Everyone loves to know more about winners, and that is why features like “3 facts you didn't know about $2.04 Billion winner Edwin Castro” attracted a lot of attention too.
Who knew he was a qualified architect as well as an almost billionaire? (He claimed the prize in a lump sum which came to $997.6 million).
What’s coming up for Lotto Looks? More of the same - as long as I can make it interesting or fascinating for you!
